Excellent service, food made intelligently, well worth a visit. On a good night, best steaks in town.

What an overpriced and dissapointing experience. My garlic steak came without garlic - it ended up on my wife's plate - all management could say was that they would talk to the kitches and offered me raw garlic instead of roasted. Pay for every extra at premium prices - there are plenty of other eating places at the Boardwalk. I suggest Squires only if you are prepared to accept second best at double the price!

Wow! How different from our own experience (previous comment). Our dinner at Squire's was probably the best we had in SA! Fantastic service, unbelievable black mushrooms in gorgonzola, a perfect hake thermidor followed by the best chocolate sauce I ever tasted over vanilla ice.. and all of it in fast succession for the rand equivalent of only 15 euros!! We seriously considered extending our stay in PE only to try out their steaks.. it was that memorable.
