We play a hybrid of blues, rock, funk and just about anything that interests us. Our influences are Jimi Hendrix (all hail the God of Rock!), Cream, Clapton, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Janis Joplin, Pink Floyd and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, among others. The band consists of Gary (Jelly) Udemans on percussion, which really involves playing the drums, Brad (Bone Collector) Chamen on bass, Rob (Righteous) Thompson on guitar and Lloyd (Led Belly) Coutts on vocals. http://www.crosstownfire.co.za |

Port Elizabeth's River Road Band is made up of Francis Broek (drums), Anien Dreyer (base guitar), Joshua Morris (lead guitar) and Swanepoel (lead singer and keyboard). Think a pop-rock, soft-rock mixture of The Beatles, Killers, Coldplay, Greenday, Parlotones, Prime Circle and The Finklestiens to get an idea of what River Road churns out. After a mere two years, the four Eastern Cape teenagers have already had a taste of success. They've performed at Oppikoppi and also reached the top 21 in SA's Got Talent. http://www.riverroadband.co.za/ |

Organic Hard Rock from Port Elizabeth, South Africa. Barry Lottering - Vocals / Guitar, Brett Gieseke - Lead Guitar, Luis Beyers - Bass, Deon Pietersen - Drums. Not low-fat or 2% rock. This isn't socially acceptable or politically correct rock. It doesn't come with a Disney logo and a happy meal. http://www.myspace.com/thealmightys |
