Deadline Extended for Art Museum's Biennial Exhibition and Award

Local Government and Municipality in PE

www.MyPE.co.za: The Nelson Mandela Metropolitan Art Museum has extended the deadline for entries for the Biennial Exhibition and Award 2010 to Friday 8 October 2010.

All artists living and working in the Eastern Cape Province are invited to submit digital or slide copies of their work with a completed entry form for selection by a jury of top art professionals.

Co-sponsored by the Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, this group exhibition is designed to promote artistic excellence, giving artists the opportunity to showcase their work in a prestigious venue and gain invaluable exposure. Selectors will be looking for works in many different media including video, ceramics, installations and exceptional craft pieces.

The winner will receive a prize of a solo exhibition to be held at the Art Museum in 2011, including funds towards production costs. Artists now have more time to produce their best and should not miss out on this fantastic opportunity!

The exhibition will be on show from 10 December 2010 to 6 February 2011.
