"Blacks Only" Comedy Show at The Boardwalk

Entertainment in PEwww.MyPE.co.za: Five funny people will take to the stage at The Boardwalk Vodacom Amphitheatre next week on 28 and 29 October. The "Blacks Only" comedy show will be hosted by acclaimed comedian, David Kau. He will be joined on stage by four of the country's top black African comedians including Dwayne Perkins, Chris Forrest, Tumi Morake and Chris Mapane.

Kicking off the national tour will be female comedian, Tumi Morake. With a number of acting and writing credits to her name, Tumi is sure to keep the audience laughing out loud. She has shared the stage with South African greats including show host, David Kau and Marc Lottering,

Up and coming comedian, Chris Mapane started doing stand-up comedy with a one man show at the University of the Witwatersrand and hasn't looked back.

Dwayne PerkinsInternational guest star, American comedian Dwayne Perkins, is guaranteed entertain with his dynamic act and unique way of looking at life. With appearances on Late Night and The Late Show, Perkins' distinctive brand of humour has seen him voted one of the Top Five comics to watch by Rolling Stones magazine.

Also on the bill is the man who is fast gaining a reputation as one of the country's funniest - Chris Forrest. Dubbed South Africa's answer to Steve Wright, Chris' witty and cynical one-line humour is thought provoking and to the point.

Totally nerdish and unflappable, his Drew Carey-looks and slowed-up delivery have ensured that audiences take to him enthusiastically and he is racking up a brace of local and international appearances.

These five fabulous comedians will tickle your funny bone on 28 October 2009. The show starts at 20h00 and tickets are available from Computicket for R100.
