www.MyPE.co.za: Recently
received a whole bunch of 'Truth in Advertising' images from Callyjean and
thought that the one reproduced here was pretty pertinent - 'Will Code HTML for
Food'. It seems like these days that anyone with a WYSIWG editor hires
themselves out as a web designer, putting huge pressure on the
amount of money
that can be made by the more established web designers in Port Elizabeth -

HERE to browse the Port Elizabeth
web designers category in the
MyPE business
directory.
Now which of the two MyPE miscreants could it be in the photograph -
the wan Yogan or the portly ABYC?
The sign made me think of one guy who used to stand at the King Georges Road
robots with a sign that said; "Please make me smile again!" He didn't take to
kindly to me leaning out of my vehicle and tickling him, though, strange
guy........
And, then there was the woman who stood at the corner of 6th Ave and Heugh
Rd., who made sure that she took her tea and lunchtime, I kid you not, she had a
flask and sarmies hidden behind a sign and made sure that she knocked off at tea
and lunch - maybe she was actually employed by a business to beg and was making
sure that she got her statutory time off?
Strange thing about all these signs is that they all invoke the almighty and
say 'God Bless' somewhere. I don't get it, is this supposed to make me feel
guilty and actually give the beggar something? Maybe one day the Yogan and I
will slip off to our nearest robot wearing a signs that say; "Will tell a joke
for bandwidth" or "Just need ten more bucks to retire!"
